Shirley Adolphus

I have worked at The University for just under two years now, as an event’s organiser and currently as a Programme Administrator in a large and busy postgraduate office of the Business School. Prior to this I spent thirty plus years in IT consultancy for various large commercial companies.

What has prompted me to become more active in the Union at this point in time, is  primarily The University’s “employment model” surrounding the conference park and the failure to keep staff salaries in line with inflation.

I believe strongly in principals of Unison, and that our strength lies in our numbers, and our willingness to work together for each other – so I would strongly encourage everyone to become a member and lend your support.
