Self-organised groups

We currently have no self-organised groups. Please do get in touch with the committee if you intend to set up a group and need support. 

Here are a few examples of self-organised groups: Disabled members’ Group, Women and non-binary members’ group; LGBTQ members’ group, Black members’ group, Young members’ group. The groups would welcome any self-identifying members, offering opportunities to chat to others about experiences, as well as campaigning to make the university a better place to work.

Some of the issues that have been discussed in the past are:

• Training for managers
• Long-term sick pay for support staff
• Survey regarding the then new LGBT group, sent to members by email
• Disability-related leave
• Guaranteed interview scheme

The groups can meet as regularly as members want.
