Annual general meeting
Our branch annual general meeting (AGM) is taking place on Wednesday 7 February. Members can either attend the morning session, 7am-9am, or the afternoon session, 1pm-3pm.
The AGM:
- Reviews the past year and looks forward to the next one
- Oversees the election of branch committee officers
- Passes motions to determine branch policy on important issues
All papers for the meeting can be found in a shared AGM google folder.
Members who work for the University of Birmingham (or who have a University of Birmingham contract at the hotel) are entitled to attend the AGM in paid work time. Refreshments will be provided at the meeting.
How to get involved
All of our branch roles are up for election and any member can stand for election. We will be electing the roles detailed in our branch rules, as well as other roles that members and the committee feel may help the organisation of the branch. Full training will be provided for all branch roles and, if necessary, paid time off work can be provided to undertake the role too.
